Gate Announcement on Renaming SOL2 to GTSOL

To enhance the liquidity of staked assets and optimize the investment experience, Gate will fully upgrade the tokenized staking system. All staking derivative tokens will be changed to standardized GT-series assets. Accordingly, SOL2 will be converted and renamed to GTSOL at a 1:1 ratio. The specific arrangements are as follows:

Upgrade Period
August 12, 2025, 8:00 (UTC) – 10:00 (UTC). The upgrade is expected to be completed within 2 hours.

Scope of Upgrade Impact
Staking

• During the Upgrade: The staking and redemption services of SOL2 will be suspended. But other tokens will not be affected.
• After the Upgrade: SOL2 will be renamed to GTSOL and displayed on the original staking page.

Unified Account Loan Services & Crypto Loan Services
During the Upgrade

1. SOL2 can no longer serve as margin in Unified Account and Crypto Loan services.
2. Users are not allowed to add or reduce the amount of SOL2 serving as margin.

After the Upgrade

1. GTSOL will be available to serve as margin. Its margin value is the same as that of SOL2 and will be counted in the margin calculation based on its USD value calculated by the discount rate. Please pay close attention to the LTV in Crypto Loan and the MMR and IMR of the Unified Account.
2. For active loan orders, the collateralized SOL2 will be directly changed to GTSOL at a 1:1 ratio. For completed loan orders, data related to SOL2 will be kept in the name of SOL2 without any alteration.

Important Notes

• During the upgrade, for loan orders of SOL2 in Unified Account or Crypto Loan, repayment or collateral withdrawal may fail.

This upgrade will provide users with a more unified GT ecosystem experience. Deposit, withdrawal, and transfer services for GTSOL will be available soon after the upgrade. Stay tuned.
