Odaily Planet Daily News Vitalik Buterin wrote in a post that one of the many things we need to speed up is to abolish Groth16. It is not feasible to have a trusted setup for each application in the 2020s. There should be at least a universal setup, ideally no setup at all. This requires significant improvements in infrastructure and the standardization of new SNARK Algorithms. Note: Groth16 Algorithm is an algorithm published by Jens Groth in 2016. The advantage of this algorithm is that it provides a small number of proof elements (only 3 are needed), simple verification equations, and ensures integrity and reliability under polynomial calculation capability.
