Abstract generation in progress

Golden Finance reports that on April 1, Aztec Network, a privacy chain supported by a16z, officially launched AlphaNetwork, becoming the first Ethereum Layer2 to provide a complete privacy-enabled smart contract execution environment. Previously, it had been unanimously approved by community governance voting. Aztec integrates privacy across three layers: privacy data support for confidential transactions and RWA transfers; privacy identity enabling selective disclosure to meet compliance requirements; and privacy computation concealing on-chain activity, opening up space for privacy DeFi and gaming applications. The contracts are written in Rust-style language Noir; the privacy logic runs on the user side and generates zero-knowledge proofs, with settlement completed on Ethereum about every 12 seconds. However, this rollout comes with a major warning: Aztec disclosed known, severe security vulnerabilities; the audit work is still ongoing, and the team advises users to deposit only funds they can afford to lose.
