Guangxi Deep Sea Pipeline Network Project Discharge Pipeline Fully Connected

People’s Finance and Information reported on March 30. On March 30, with the completion of the final steel pipe welding, the pipeline installation for Guangxi’s deep-sea pipeline network project achieved full line connectivity, marking major progress in project construction. The project is currently the longest deep-sea municipal pipeline network tunnel in China. Its designed drainage capacity is 400,000 tons per day. The total length of the constructed pipelines is 7.917 kilometers, including 5.003 kilometers of shield-driven segment and 2.914 kilometers of on-land segment. The on-land pipelines use an open-cut construction method to lay two-purpose dual pipes with a diameter of 1.8 meters. The offshore pipelines, meanwhile, use the shield-boring-and-crossing-sea technology to install a one-use-one-standby dual-pipe system with a diameter of 2 meters inside the tunnel. The total length of the pipelines is about 16 kilometers. After the project is completed, it will not only effectively address the problem of industrial wastewater discharge from enterprises in industrial parks such as Beihai Tieshan Port, Tieshan Dong Port, and Yulin Longtan, but also improve the quality of the regional water environment and enhance the production and living conditions of nearby residents. At the same time, the project will provide solid support for the commissioning of major local industrial projects, ushering in a new chapter for Guangxi as it moves toward and builds strength by leveraging the sea.
