TD Securities: Lack of Liquidity exacerbated the decline in the United States and Japan

Huitong Financial News TD Securities said that as the current trading activity is quieter than normal, the decline in the United States and Japan on Thursday may be further intensified. Alex Loo, strategist at the bank, said: “The thin liquidity during the holiday period could exacerbate the downward trend in the US and Japan, and if USD/JPY closes below 141 above the weekly moving average, which is also the 50-week MA, then USDJPY’s downward momentum could accelerate.” The bank now expects the US and Japanese to fall to 135 by the end of 2024.
