The Shadow Behind the Empire: Yi He's Crypto Kingdom

Abstract generation in progress

I’ve always been fascinated by power dynamics in the crypto world, especially when they’re hiding in plain sight. While everyone obsesses over CZ, Yi He has been quietly building her influence - and perhaps wielding more actual power than many realize.

Looking at her profile, the contrast is striking. With 1.6M+ followers but only 8 posts, she’s clearly someone who doesn’t need constant validation. Her pinned post about 2024’s achievements reeks of subtle bragging - Bitcoin breaking $100K, Trump launching his coin (what a joke), and oh, just casually mentioning their $100 TRILLION in trading volume.

The bonus structure she reveals is particularly telling - 172 employees got over 1M RMB bonuses? This isn’t just sharing information; it’s a power flex. “Come work for us if you’re strong enough” translates to “we’re filthy rich and you probably aren’t good enough anyway.”

Her posts about Labs being “independent” made me laugh out loud. Sure, they’re “independent” with “layers of firewalls” - yet CZ directly manages it? Who are they kidding? The crypto world’s incestuous relationships between VCs, exchanges, and projects remain as problematic as ever.

What’s particularly irritating is how she positions herself as some philosophical thought leader. Her post about educational qualifications waxes poetic about agricultural eras and reading privileges - classic distraction from the real issues plaguing the industry.

Her portfolio reveal shows 89% in BNB - shocking right? Not really. It’s just another way of signaling her unwavering commitment to the mothership while pretending to be “transparent.” This isn’t transparency; it’s marketing.

When she talks about market cycles and how “pessimistic” views get more attention, she conveniently ignores how her own company has shaped those cycles through their listing practices and market manipulation.

Her summaries of different crypto eras seem honest at first glance, but they’re carefully crafted narratives that position her exchange as merely an observer rather than a central architect of the entire system. “Trading platforms do not have pricing power” might be the biggest lie in her entire profile.

The Yi He I see here isn’t a visionary - she’s a brilliant power player using carefully curated philosophical musings to distract from the reality that she helps control one of the most influential entities in the entire crypto ecosystem.

But hey, I could be wrong. After all, as she says herself: “If we disagree, you’re probably right.” Classic misdirection from someone who has never entertained being wrong in her life.
