The most promising cryptos of 2025: my personal view

Abstract generation in progress

Listen, I've been wanting to share my thoughts on what will really take off in 2025. I'm tired of these bland reviews from “experts” who are afraid to say too much. I'll tell it like it is.

New projects are constantly emerging in crypto—some for the profit of their creators, others that genuinely push the industry forward. Here is my subjective list of what is worth holding in your portfolio.

Chainlink ($LINK)

This thing with a market capitalization of about 10.4 billion is already in 16th place in the rankings. But that's not the main point. LINK is currently, in fact, a monopoly in the oracle sector, and in 2024, it has significantly strengthened its position in the tokenization of real assets. There are practically no competitors, which attracts me — the price of $16.75 is clearly not the limit.

Solana ($SOL)

Fourth place with a market capitalization of $109.7 billion! Speed and low fees attract everyone who is tired of the exorbitant gas fees of Ethereum. But there’s a catch — all SOL activity relies on meme coins. Once the hype dies down, SOL could deflate like a balloon. Although $231 per token still looks pretty good.

Polkadot (#POL)

An interesting platform with a market capitalization of 12 billion. The price of 8 dollars seems undervalued for such a project. The main advantage is interoperability between blockchains. But honestly? Development is progressing slower than one would like, despite all the beauty of the technology.

Ethereum (#ETH)

Where would smart contracts be without the “grandfather”? Capitalization of 402 billion, price of 3.3 thousand dollars. ETH still remains the most important ecosystem with a bunch of developers and TVL. But the growth will be more stable than explosive — this is no longer the young crypto that could give x's in a month.

Avalanche (#avax)

Capitalization of 16.4 billion and a price of around 40 dollars. It's good that they are working with RWA — that's the trend right now. But I have mixed feelings: the platform is great, but the marketing is lacking. As a result, other L1s are surpassing them in noise and hype.

Toncoin ($TON)

I am absolutely thrilled here! The integration with Telegram is not just talk, but direct access to a billion users. A capitalization of 15 billion after a 300% growth in 2024. They are already launching Visa crypto cards in Europe. If Durov continues in the same spirit, TON will definitely soar even higher.

Near Protocol (NEAR)

Ranked 20th with a market capitalization of 7.5 billion. They focus on AI and blockchain abstraction. However, in my opinion, they are too scattered and unable to choose a clear direction, which hinders them from standing out among competitors.

Sui (SUI)

A blockchain created by former Meta engineers with a capitalization of $8.8 billion. Recently increased transaction speed by 80%, which led to a price increase of 170%. Not bad! But their constant reliance on “former Meta” in marketing is concerning — when will they start promoting the product itself?

I believe that major smart contract and DeFi platforms will continue to dominate, but those who can truly integrate with the mass user will “explode” the market. Therefore, TON ranks first in my personal rating, despite all the advantages of other projects.

What do you think? Which coins would you choose?
