I wanted to create my own crypto here, but I thought – maybe it's not that simple? And you know what? It turned out to be much more interesting than what those smart guys in suits say.
There are two paths – the complex one and the one for those who really know their stuff. The first is when you build your own blockchain from scratch. Here you need to be either a programming genius or have a lot of money for a team of developers. What Ethereum or Bitcoin did – this is no joke.
And there is a way for ordinary mortals – to launch a token on someone else's blockchain. And here comes the funniest part! For pennies, you can mint a million of your "coins", and all you need is a wallet and a bit of brains to fill out the forms.
I tried to do this myself through TON – a couple of clicks, a couple of fields to fill out, and voila – you are already a "crypto millionaire"! For just 82 rubles, you can issue a million tokens. Think about it! Seriously, it’s cheaper than going to a café.
And this really stressed me out. It turns out that all these hype coins that are pushed on us as the "next bitcoin" can be created by any school student with a phone? And then people invest real money into this?
I never released my coin – even though I can mint millions of "DLKSN" at any moment. But my eyes have been opened to this world. The next time you hear about a new "revolutionary" coin – think about whether its creator spent the same 82 rubles that I could have.
And yes, it annoys me that no one talks about this when praising another "promising token"!
