How much is 1000 dollars invested in Bitcoin worth now, 5 years later?

Did the math, and it's quite heartbreaking.

Since the beginning of 2020, BTC has risen by 962%. This means that someone who spent 1000 dollars on Bitcoin 5 years ago now holds over 10600 dollars. This figure is not exaggerated.

The craziest thing is that in August of this year, BTC once surged to a historic high of $124,000. How did it go up? There are two main drivers: first, the US policy stance towards the crypto industry has turned friendly; second, the market anticipates that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates.

Although BTC has pulled back about 10% from its historical high, when viewed on a 5-year timeline, this is just a drizzle.

What's worth paying attention to right now?

  • The expectation of interest rate cuts still exists, which is positive for BTC.
  • The regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies is becoming clearer, and institutional confidence is rising.
  • The trend of companies allocating BTC as treasury assets is strengthening, providing support at the price bottom.

Of course, no one can accurately predict the trend of BTC for the next 5 years. However, looking at these catalysts, the long-term direction does not seem too pessimistic.
