In this circle, there are stories of getting rich overnight every day, but tales of liquidation and blood, sweat, and tears are even more common. In the end, winning or losing isn’t about what’s on the screen, but about how you play your hand.

I know a guy who came in three months ago with $1,800, just treating it like a game. Now? He’s got $58,000 sitting in his account. But the craziest part isn’t how much he made—it’s that he hasn’t been liquidated even once.

When he first came for advice, I told him straight up: mentally write that money off first.

He split that $1,800 into three parts, each with its own purpose. The first part was for daily trades—grab profits when you can, never overstay. The second part was for ambushes, lying in wait until a big opportunity came, then biting down hard. The third part? Treat it as thrown away—just insurance against black swan events, so you never get wiped out in one shot.

Too many people go all-in from the start and get knocked out by the first wave. You have to learn to stand firm before you even think about winning.

When there’s no action, don’t make pointless moves. Most of the time, this market just grinds sideways and wears you down. If you insist on messing around at those times, you’re just giving money away. The real windows to act only come once or twice a month at most. When they come, go in, but remember to take out your principal once you’ve made a profit. Only what’s in your pocket counts.

The toughest hurdle is always yourself. I got him into the habit: before every trade, set three hard rules—where’s the stop-loss, how much principal to withdraw after taking profit, and never add to a losing position. Sounds rigid, right? But that’s exactly what’s kept him alive until now.

In this market, having a set of rules that keep you alive is more important than anything else.

There’s a light at night, an umbrella in the rain. The road is right at your feet. Let’s take it slow.
