WAL's launch immediately attracted a lot of attention. On the first day, it surged 288%, then entered a period of consolidation. Behind this movement, the market is actually digesting two voices — one questioning the high FDV, and the other expecting a long-term narrative.
Interestingly, institutional investors are taking action. Grayscale has launched the Walrus trust product, which is like giving the market a strong boost. Currently, the price is repeatedly testing around the institutional financing cost, with limited short-term pressure, mainly because the token unlock for major institutions won't happen until after March 2026.
The key now is when a true catalyst will appear. First, whether the mainnet can see actual data storage growth, and second, whether it can establish partnerships with more well-known projects (Onefootball has already partnered). Once these factors are realized, the market's perception of WAL can truly shift from expectation to valuation. For now, everyone is waiting for this validation moment.

Once Gray Scale starts moving, I knew this thing had potential. Although the FDV is intimidating, institutional support until 2026 makes it stable enough.

Once the grayscale trust is launched, it can indeed stabilize the market, but this doesn't mean that the project's underlying issues have been resolved. The FDV remains inflated, and the fact that institutions won't unlock until 2026 is an invisible bomb. For now, it's just quiet because that moment hasn't arrived yet.

Grayscale pushing trust products is really just a gimmick… I experienced that wave in 2018, institutional endorsement does not equal a project’s value. Remember how popular EOS was back then? And now?
Real data growth is the key. Just talking about partnerships is useless; we need to see how much data Onefootball has actually accumulated. Unlocking this in 2026 is quite clever, giving themselves enough time to tell a story.
Just waiting, another project that can be judged as dead based solely on FDV.

Once Grayscale makes a move, you'll know if it's there. Short-term, lying flat isn't a big issue.

Gray scale's move is indeed stable, but with such a high FDV, can it really last until 2026...

Grayscale has started to act, so at least someone is taking the bait. In the short term, it shouldn't break through.

Grayscale's recent move definitely stabilized the situation, but the FDV being so high is quite intimidating.

Once the grayscale trust was launched, market sentiment stabilized, but this FDV is indeed a bit outrageous.

Gray scale's move is indeed different; institutional backing can truly stabilize the mindset. However, the FDV aspect still remains uncertain. Let's wait for mainnet data and partnership implementations.
