I've been seeing people for a while now trying to mine cryptocurrencies through apps on their phones, and honestly, there are more options than I thought. It's not that you're going to get rich, but if you have free time on your phone, why not give it a try?
The most well-known is CryptoTab, one of the first to come out. You just install it, activate mining, and it starts generating Bitcoin automatically. The interesting part is that you can invite friends and earn more if they accept your link. Then there's a major exchange platform that offers cloud mining, where you buy hash rate directly in their pool and receive rewards. Honestly, it's more like investing than actual mining.
StormGain is also there; it lets you mine in exchange for completing small tasks. The interface is well-designed and secure, but there's an annoying detail: it needs to be restarted every 4 hours. If you're constantly monitoring that, it becomes tedious. NiceHash is another popular option; it has an integrated profitability calculator and is quite secure if you enable two-factor authentication. And then there's Bitdeer, which is more for those who already know what they're doing, offering access to professional facilities and different plans based on your investment.
Now, the real question is: is it really worth it? It depends. Some say no because the competition is fierce, you need to be connected 8 hours a day, and there's a risk of fraud. Others see mobile mining as an accessible way to earn. Their optimism probably comes from thinking about future hardware and new cryptocurrencies that might be easier to mine through apps.
If you decide to try mining cryptocurrencies through apps on Android, it's pretty straightforward: choose an app, install it, create an account, set up your wallet, and you're good to go. On iPhone, it's more complicated due to Apple's restrictions, so you usually end up using cloud mining. The easiest cryptocurrencies to mine on your phone now are Monero at around $329, Dogecoin at $0.09, Vertcoin and Ravencoin at $0.01. But also consider how much electricity costs where you live.
One last thing: mining 1 full Bitcoin on a smartphone would take an average of 10 minutes if you had unlimited computing power, but in reality, you need specialized equipment or cloud services. My advice is not to rush; do thorough research before investing money in mining plans. Read the terms of each app, because they change constantly.
