2026 probably won’t be about ai getting smarter

It will be about ai agents actually doing things on their own
trading, negotiating, making decisions without waiting for humans
we already have different directions forming
@bittensor is focused on the model layer
turning intelligence itself into something that can be trained and traded
@Fetch_ai is focused on coordination
building systems where agents can interact and execute across environments
both matter, but they assume something important
that once something is executed, the result can be trusted
that assumption doesn’t really hold in an agent world
because agents don’t just execute instructions
they interpret information, make judgments, and sometimes disagree with each other
that’s where @GenLayer starts to make more sense
instead of focusing on agents themselves
it focuses on how outcomes are evaluated and agreed upon
intelligent contracts that can reason, not just execute
and a system where validators don’t just check results
but actually interpret them
in an agent economy, execution becomes cheap
but agreement becomes the bottleneck
and the system that solves that layer
ends up being the most important one
that’s why genlayer is the one i’m paying the most attention to for 2026
