I just checked the news from South Florida, and there's quite a bit of activity this weekend. The Weather Service warns of localized flooding until Monday, especially in Miami-Dade and Broward with accumulations of up to four inches of water. The strongest storms are expected to hit on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, so it's best to avoid low-lying areas if you're around there.

Meanwhile, in South Florida, the Spring Break scene in Miami Beach is also in full swing. The city decided to loosen restrictions this year: beaches are open, and cafes are operating normally. But watch out, parking fees are still high (between $40 and $100), and sobriety checkpoints are active. The heat will be present with highs of 28°C and feels-like temperatures up to 30°C, so if you're planning to go to the beach, get ready.

Another thing I saw: gas prices are sky-high. The statewide average has reached $3.71 per gallon, about 22 cents more than recently. Miami-Dade is at $3.70, Fort Lauderdale at $3.74, and West Palm Beach at $3.85. They say it's due to spring break and tensions in the Middle East. The northern areas are still cheaper to fill up.

Additionally, there are news reports about school safety, electoral changes, and even a jewelry store robbery in Hialeah where two people were arrested. Quite a busy weekend around here. Is anyone else following all this?
