honestly just realized how many people don't actually know what these abbreviations mean lol. like if you're scrolling crypto or any social media, you're gonna see K, M, B thrown around constantly but everyone just assumes everyone knows what they mean?
so 1k is equal to 1,000 right? like 10k = 10,000, 100k = 100,000. pretty straightforward once you think about it. then there's million which is where things get bigger - 1 million is literally 1,000,000. that's the jump that gets people confused sometimes because suddenly we're talking about way more zeros lol
and then billion... 1 billion = 1,000,000,000. honestly that number is so massive it doesn't even feel real. when you're dealing with crypto market caps or comparing company valuations, billion is where you really start seeing the scale of things.
if you work online at all - whether it's youtube, freelancing, or trading - you'll be seeing these numbers constantly. took me forever to not have to count the zeros every time someone mentioned a billion dollar market cap 😅 knowing what 1k is equal to and understanding the rest just makes everything click faster
