One interesting phenomenon is that in the NFT art world, there is a creator named Claire Silver who deliberately keeps her identity hidden for a very special reason—she believes this allows the work itself to speak, rather than attracting attention through the artist's fame. This approach is somewhat unconventional today, but her work clearly demonstrates everything.
Claire Silver's creative style is unique, blending handcrafted models with AI rendering. She calls this style "AI Collaboration Art." In 2020, she launched her first project, Genesis, which includes 500 original AI images, each telling a story. Interestingly, during her creative process, she intentionally incorporates 7% facial features into all models to ensure her personal identity is reflected in the work. This number sounds very specific, but it actually represents a core idea: AI is just a tool; human creativity is the soul.
She has a deep understanding of blockchain and NFTs. As early as 2017, Claire Silver was active in this field. Although she missed the initial release of CryptoPunks, a community member later gifted her three CryptoPunks, with #1629, the pink-haired one, becoming her social media avatar and influencing some of her later artistic styles.
In 2024, she participated in the TED AI podcast to discuss AI's impact on art and creativity. She also launched an immersive AI installation called "Can I tell you a secret?" covering 7,500 square feet, planned to tour in ten cities worldwide, combining 3D printed sculptures and virtual reality experiences. NPR listed Claire Silver as a thought leader in AI technology applications, and her work has been permanently collected by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
In a 2024 interview, she made a very insightful statement: "I believe AI will bring about a species-level transformation, just like humans evolving into Homo sapiens. This transformation will continue indefinitely until the concept of 'us' disappears. The depth and significance of AI will eventually permeate everything: medicine, architecture, and all other fields."
Her belief in the future of AI is increasingly influencing more creators through her work and social media. If you're interested in AI art and the NFT ecosystem, you can follow the developments of related assets on Gate.
