Just noticed something worth paying attention to in the mobile app ecosystem. Digital Turbine has been on quite a run lately, and the numbers behind it are actually pretty compelling.
Last year the stock surged over 220%, which is wild when you consider the broader software industry only grew less than 1%. It's even lapping competitors like Unity Software and AppLovin, which returned 76% and 70% respectively. So what's driving this? Let me break down what I'm seeing.
Their On Device Solutions business is the main engine here. Think of it as the infrastructure that helps users discover and download apps through carrier and device manufacturer partnerships. What caught my eye is the international side of this business grew 80% year over year in Q2, now representing more than a quarter of ODS revenues. They've been consolidating their tech stack, which is attracting more advertiser demand. Revenue per device across US and international markets jumped over 30% YoY for this segment.
The second growth driver is their AGP business, which runs a programmatic ad marketplace. DSPs bid in real-time for publisher inventory, and Digital Turbine takes a cut while sharing with publishers. In Q2, they saw ad impressions surge 30% year over year, and the AGP segment itself grew 20% YoY, hitting $44.7 million in revenue. They're also layering AI and machine learning into the platform to improve ad targeting and ROI.
What's interesting is their partnership strategy. They work with major players like Xiaomi, Samsung, HMD, Nokia and Motorola, and recently added TIM to that list. TIM partnered with them to improve smartphone experiences through personalized app recommendations. This kind of diversification matters because no single partner accounts for more than 10% of revenues.
Looking at the forecast, management expects fiscal 2026 revenues between $540-550 million with adjusted EBITDA of $100-105 million. For Q3, consensus estimates peg earnings at 16 cents per share, up 23% year over year. If this apps stock forecast holds, the momentum looks legit.
The way I see it, Digital Turbine is well-positioned with multiple growth vectors firing simultaneously. ODS and AGP are both accelerating, advertiser demand is strong, international expansion is real, and they're adding AI capabilities across their platforms. When you combine that with solid partnerships and strengthening revenue momentum, it paints a pretty interesting picture for the next phase of growth.
