Users only need to lock a certain amount of cryptocurrency in a crypto wallet or exchange for a period of time to earn profits. Profits include block rewards generated by smart contracts. Additionally, if using smart contracts with lending functionality, investors acting as lenders earn interest income when others need to borrow a certain type of cryptocurrency.
