**Leverage Trading 101: What Does 5x Mean?**

Simple version: 5x leverage = you're borrowing money to amplify your position. Put in $100? You can trade like you have $500. Sounds cool, right? Here's the catch:

**The upside**: Price pumps 10%? Your $100 turns into $150 (50% gain). That's the dream.

**The downside**: Price dumps 10%? Your $100 becomes $50. Keep losing? Your position gets liquidated and you lose everything fast.

**Real example with AWE/USDT**:
- Deposit: $100
- Leverage: 5x
- Position size: $500
- Price +10% = +$50 profit
- Price -10% = -$50 loss + liquidation risk

Bottom line: Leverage is a double-edged sword. Amplifies gains AND losses. If you're new, paper trade first or stay away until you actually know what you're doing. The graveyard is full of people who thought they understood leverage.
