There was a leak of harmful chemicals at the U.S. military base in Japan.

Jin10 reported on June 2nd, according to the Japan Cooperative News, the US has confirmed that there was a hazardous chemical leak incident at the Yokota Air Base in Japan, which may pose health risks to local residents. It was reported that in January 2023, there was a leakage of wastewater containing organic fluorinated compounds (PFAS), which are believed to be carcinogenic, at the US Yokota Air Base located in Tokyo, Japan.
