Odaily News Solana Meme coin WIF's iconic pink knitted hat was sold on the Bitcoin Ordinals platform Ord City for 6.8 BTC (approximately $794,000), with the buyer being "Finn", the founder of the Solana Meme coin issuance platform Bags. This 48-hour auction was paused due to false high bids but was reopened after increasing collateral requirements. Finn stated that part of the funds used to purchase the knitted hat came from transaction fees of the token "BUY THE HAT" launched by Bags, and he mentioned plans to give back to the community with the hat in some way in the future. A photo NFT of Dogwifhat was sold in March 2024 on the Foundation platform for 1210.8 ETH (worth about $4.3 million at the time), far exceeding the sale price of the physical hat this time. The WIF token is currently priced at $0.92, with a 24-hour rise of about 3.2%, but has fallen over 70% since the NFT auction peak, with a current market capitalization of nearly $1 billion.
