The U.S. Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) debunks rumors: Reuters' report about its dissolution is fake news.
On November 25, the U.S. Department of Efficiency (DOGE) stated on the X platform that the report by Reuters regarding its dissolution is fake news. The department will resume its routine updates on Friday in a few days. The American people authorized President Trump to modernize the federal government and reduce waste, fraud, and abuse. Just last week, the department terminated 78 wasteful contracts, saving taxpayers $335 million. Previously, Reuters reported that on November 24, the government efficiency department (DOGE), which was established by President Trump to cut down the size of the government after he took office in January this year, has been dissolved even though it has eight months left in its term. When asked about the status of the government efficiency department, the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Cooper, said, “It doesn’t exist at all.” Cooper added that the government efficiency department is no longer a “centralized agency.” This is the first confirmation from the Trump administration that the government efficiency department has been dissolved.
