Chromia Launches Incentive Testing Program to Pave the Way for Mainnet Release

Chromia is an innovative Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that offers multiple advantageous services to users and developers through a modular framework. The platform supports dedicated dApp chains, custom fee structures, and enhanced digital asset functionalities. More importantly, Chromia introduces a natively queryable real-time data index, fundamentally changing the way on-chain information is organized, greatly simplifying the end-user experience, and paving the way for new Web3 business models.

Chromia's horizontal scaling capability allows it to efficiently handle parallel tasks, making it particularly suitable for supporting high-performance gaming dApps. Taking the flagship game "My Neighbour Alice" on the platform as an example, players can build land in a virtual world, interact with neighbors, complete daily tasks, and earn rewards. There is no doubt that Chromia's modular framework and relational blockchain technology are poised to revolutionize the development and usage of decentralized applications.

Recently, Chromia announced the official launch of its incentive testing program, which is a key step towards the Mainnet release. Participants can not only contribute to network security but also earn rewards and have the opportunity to interact with the official Chromia wallet using testnet CHR tokens on Chromia-supported networks.

The total incentive scale of this plan reaches 250,000 CHR tokens, consisting of three independent sub-projects. Each project runs a candidate version of the Chromia Mainnet on its exclusive network, which is truly a multi-pronged approach:

HackNet (as of June 28)

HackNet is primarily aimed at programmers and advanced users, providing the opportunity to discover extreme cases on a sandbox network and view the Chromia code repository. The program offers a maximum reward of 100,000 CHR, and the feedback collected will be used to refine the Mainnet preparations.

HackNet aims to encourage technical users to stress test the core software of Chromia and detect edge cases. While anyone can submit reports, the program offers limited guidance and is mainly suited for individuals with technical knowledge who can read code directly or interact with the blockchain.

HackNet will end on June 28, completing in sync with the third-party audit, allowing the Chromia team to assess feedback and finalize the Mainnet launch timeline.

ProjectNet (as of July 26)

ProjectNet is designed for developers and will serve as the hosting network for the Demo Dapp competition. Chromia will award a total of 50,000 CHR to the top three submitters.

The goal of ProjectNet is to incentivize developers to learn Rell and build on the Chromia blockchain. The Demo Dapp competition is open to those with coding experience in Web2 and Web3 applications, but no experience with Rell is required.

Participants can submit applications in any form, including original works, works inspired by existing applications, or direct adaptations of existing applications written in other languages. The submission deadline is July 26, allowing participants ample time to enhance their Rell skills and implement their builds. Winners will be selected by a six-person judging panel from the Chromia team, with the top three entries sharing a prize pool of 50,000 CHR.

QuestNet (June 18 to August 30)

QuestNet aims to encourage both new and existing community members to explore Chromia and dApp-related features, promoting interaction with core network functionalities such as Chromia Vault and specific decentralized applications.

The QuestNet program is set to launch on June 18, initially including some beginner tasks, and will continue to expand over the following weeks. The prize pool for the program is 100,000 CHR tokens, which will be distributed through a series of lottery activities after the program ends. To prevent bot behavior, the specific lottery eligibility criteria will not be announced in advance. However, in general, the best way to maximize rewards is to complete all available tasks, regularly check the dashboard, and follow social media for timely updates on QuestNet.

Key Milestones

  1. HackNet will continue until June 28, primarily targeting developers and tech-savvy users.
  2. ProjectNet will continue until July 26, specifically designed for developers.
  3. QuestNet will run from June 18 to August 30, targeting regular users, and rewards will be determined and distributed after the plan ends.

Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia, stated that they are excited to invite users to explore Chromia's innovative platform through this incentive testing program. This is not only an opportunity to showcase Chromia's technology before the Mainnet launch, but also allows the community to actively contribute to shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem.
