Fed Collins: Deterioration of the labor market may prompt a short-term rate cut

On August 22, Collins from the Fed stated that if the labor market outlook worsens, it may be appropriate to cut interest rates in the short term. We cannot wait until inflation is fully clear to consider lowering interest rates.
