OpenAI Pushes Custom AI Marketplace to 2025

OpenAI's much-hyped online marketplace for custom AI models? Not coming this year after all. The company just told its GPT Builder testers the launch is sliding to early 2025. Kind of a bummer.

They had big plans. Really big. "Unexpected circumstances" messed with their schedule, they say. Whatever that means.

The marketplace idea popped up earlier this year. A place where people could sell their customized AI chatbots. No coding needed! Pretty cool concept.

Small startups were excited. The big corporations dominate everything these days. This platform might level things a bit.

OpenAI seemed so confident at their developer conference. Then... silence. Company reshuffling probably didn't help. Leadership changes. You know how it goes.

Users waiting for this have few options now. It's not like custom GPT marketplaces grow on trees.

The tech world is full of delays lately. Apple did it. Meta too. Early 2025 seems to be the new target for everyone. Market conditions? Regulations? It's not entirely clear what's happening behind the scenes.
