Malaysian Investor Vanishes After Crypto Windfall Error
A bizarre crypto mishap has left the digital currency world buzzing. Malaysian investor Kow Seng Chai has gone missing. The trigger? A massive error that dumped $995,000 into his account instead of $99,500. Rhino Trading Ltd. made the mistake. They didn't catch it for days. Chai apparently seized his chance. He quickly converted everything to USDT. Then he drained about $956,000 over ten days. Just like that.
Nobody can find him now. Weird thing is, his contact details seem fake. Someone else answers his phone. Emails bounce back. It gets stranger. His company Lotte Entreprise lists a Sydney address. But his trading verification shows a place in Mildura, Victoria. Makes you wonder if this was planned.
Authorities tried to lock things down. They froze his assets. They banned him from leaving Australia. Then he skipped his court date. Just disappeared. The man supposedly worked in construction for about 16 years. Not exactly the profile you'd expect for this kind of situation.
The whole mess kind of highlights how crypto can still be the Wild West sometimes. It's not entirely clear what security measures failed here. Since 2025, the trail seems cold. No updates on where he might be or what legal consequences await him. The case sits there, unresolved. A strange financial mystery with no ending yet.
