Ear Candy for Crypto Junkies: Podcasts That Don't Suck

I've been diving into crypto podcasts lately and honestly, I'm sick of all the fake "experts" clogging my feed. Let me tell you about the REAL shows worth your time in this space.

Last night, I was stuck in traffic, scrolling through my podcast library looking for something that wouldn't put me to sleep or feed me garbage crypto advice. After months of trial and error, I've found a handful that actually deliver substance.

Why I Bother With These Things

Look, I could be listening to music, but I'm obsessed with making money in this market. These podcasts help me:

  • Hear directly from people who actually know their shit (unlike most Twitter "influencers")
  • Learn while I'm doing mundane crap like laundry or commuting
  • Keep up with this insane market that changes direction every five minutes

The industry is full of bullshit artists, and these shows help me filter through the noise.

The Shows I Actually Listen To

Bankless – Ryan and David don't sugarcoat things. They're ETH maximalists at heart, but they'll call out problems when they see them. Their DeFi coverage saved me from some terrible investments last year.

Unchained – Laura Shin asks the questions I'm screaming in my head. She grilled a founder about security flaws last month that no one else was talking about. The episode blew up, and guess what? The project patched the issue two days later.

What Bitcoin Did – Peter can be annoying sometimes with his Bitcoin maximalism, but when BTC dropped 12% last week, his emergency episode helped me understand why I shouldn't panic sell (I didn't, and it bounced back).

The Pomp Podcast – Anthony's business focus gives me perspective beyond just price action. He can be a bit much with the Bitcoin cheerleading, but his macro insights have helped me understand why institutional money is finally flowing in.

Epicenter – When I want to geek out on the tech, this is my go-to. Their explanation of Layer 2 solutions actually made sense to me, which is saying something.

The Breakdown – Nat delivers daily episodes that I play at 1.5x speed while making breakfast. His coverage of Bitcoin hitting $114K this month was remarkably level-headed when everyone else was losing their minds.

The Defiant – Camila cuts through the DeFi bullshit. When that major lending platform froze withdrawals in August, she had experts explaining what went wrong before anyone else.

Crypto 101 – I send this to my friends who text me "should I buy Bitcoin?" It saves me from having to explain the basics for the thousandth time.

We Study Billionaires – Their recent episode with that hedge fund manager who put 5% of their portfolio in ETH was fascinating. Made me rethink my own allocation strategy.

Where To Find This Stuff

Just use Spotify or Apple Podcasts like a normal person. If you're still searching for "best crypto podcasts" on Google, you're doing it wrong.

Bitcoin's RSI just hit oversold territory and sentiment is in the fear zone, which usually signals a rally coming in October. The podcasts above are all covering this potential setup, but each has their own take on whether we'll see Bitcoin push past $120K or retest support.

If you're not listening to at least a couple of these shows, you're probably making decisions based on Reddit posts and Twitter hot takes. Don't be that person.
