In recent days, there has been a lot of discussion in the circle about x402, Agent, and automated execution.
But I found a seriously overlooked perspective -
In the future, if AI Agents are to handle large on-chain operations, they will most likely still need to return to the Bitcoin network for settlement.
This is not a matter of belief, nor is it necessary to resort to the old rhetoric of "digital gold."
The core logic is actually quite straightforward: when it comes to large transactions, security must come first, and at this level of final settlement, only the BTC network can provide a sufficient foundation of trust.
There is another interesting detail - when Agents execute operations, they do not fuss over the high or low gas fees like we humans do, nor do they get tangled up in rate fluctuations. They only consider certainty and safety margins.
This may be the real paradigm shift.
