Don't remind me again today

Will the XRP Ledger launch the staking feature? This topic was recently discussed by Ripple's CTO David Schwartz and engineer J. Ayo Akinyele.

Currently, the XRP Ledger operates on a PoA consensus, and the validator nodes do their work without any compensation. If staking is really implemented, several core issues need to be considered: where do the rewards come from? How are they distributed? Akinyele bluntly stated that once this is initiated, the entire value circulation and governance structure must be re-evaluated.

Adjusting the technical roadmap is never a small matter, especially for a mature public chain. Introducing staking means that the economic model needs a major overhaul, and the incentive logic for validation nodes has to be completely rethought. Of course, this could also allow more people to participate in network maintenance, and the ecosystem's activity level might take a step up.

Anyway, it is still in the discussion stage, and how to proceed will depend on the subsequent plan.

Hmm, PoA change stake? This requires changing the economic model, Ripple is acting quite cautiously.

It's another issue of changing the economic model; these Ripple guys really know how to handle things.

Again talking about staking, XRP is still struggling Is Ripple trying to make a move again? If the economic model isn't done right, it could blow up Changing PoA to staking sounds easy to say, but when it actually comes to operations The question of how rewards come in has always been a pitfall, I doubt it Activity in the ecosystem rising? First, clarify the logic of node incentives before boasting Just listening for now, anyway, it's still just theoretical

It's just in the discussion stage again, I've seen this routine too many times. --- Where do the staking rewards come from out of thin air? Is Ripple digging into its own pockets or playing people for suckers, they must know in their hearts. --- Changing to PoA staking sounds easy, but changing the economic model means the entire ecosystem has to be rebalanced, do they really dare to do it? --- Instead of discussing this, it would be better to clarify the liquidity issue of XRP first. --- Why does it feel like all major public chains end up taking the staking route, there's no way around it, right? --- The verification nodes are currently working without pay, introducing staking will only make large investors larger and suckers more scattered.

You are thinking about staking, right? Changing PoA to PoS is not that easy. Once changed, it would be a major overhaul, the economic model would need to be completely overturned. Does Ripple really dare to entertain this idea? It's quite difficult to figure out where the rewards will come from, so let's wait until the officials really come up with a plan. If this really happens, the XRP ecosystem will definitely become more active, but the premise is to sort out the financial issues. It still feels like it's in the discussion phase, and the actual implementation is probably a long way off.

It's just another bunch of empty talk, so don't get too excited during the discussion phase.
