Don't remind me again today

Major U.S. banks and mortgage companies spent their Sunday scrambling after a tech vendor serving the real estate finance sector got breached. The hack exposed potentially sensitive data, forcing these financial giants to run damage control and figure out just how deep the compromise goes.

Another day, another reminder that centralized systems remain juicy targets. When a single vendor gets hit, the ripple effect touches everyone downstream—banks, lenders, and ultimately customers. Makes you wonder about the resilience of legacy infrastructure versus decentralized alternatives that don't create these single points of failure.

ngl, the "centralized vendor gets pwned, everyone loses sleep" story is getting old. technically speaking, their incident response probably still relies on deprecated practices from 2015. trust but verify tho—bet half these banks haven't even audited their own vendor validation protocols yet. classic single point of failure nobody bothers fixing until it's too late.

Another great example of a centralized system collapsing, I’m really speechless.

Centralized systems are a ticking time bomb—if one vendor goes down, the whole chain suffers. Hasn't someone already pointed this out a long time ago?

Here we go again, centralized systems are really a big target.
