Recently, the crypto community has been discussing a perennial yet very concerning issue—address poisoning scams. Some investors have lost as much as $50 million in a single incident due to this scheme, a figure that truly serves as a wake-up call.

The scammers' tactics are quite routine: they first send a small amount to you to lower your guard. Then, many people, in an effort to save time, copy that address directly from their wallet to make a transfer, unaware that they are actually copying a scam address. By the time they realize, the funds have already been stolen by the scammers.

Currently, several feasible defensive strategies have been proposed. One is to strengthen warning mechanisms on the wallet side, identifying suspicious addresses and alerting users directly. Another is to establish a "blacklist" system, marking known scam addresses. Additionally, wallets should automatically filter out low-value junk transactions to prevent these "bait" transactions from mixing into legitimate activity.

Speaking of scams, address poisoning is just one type. Phishing attacks are also becoming increasingly rampant. Data shows that in November alone, victims lost $7.7 million due to phishing attacks.

Therefore, protecting yourself in this ecosystem is truly crucial. Stay vigilant, avoid blindly copying addresses, and regularly check for abnormal activity in your wallet—these basic precautions are essential.

50 million directly gone, how blind can you be Copying addresses is easy to say, but if you can't prevent it, you deserve it The wallet blacklist system should have been implemented long ago, this current way is too reckless It's both phishing and malware, who the hell will save my assets This is what you get for being greedy, daring to paste without even looking Warning mechanism? Laughable, those people don't even read the pop-ups It's always the same old tricks, how are there still people falling for it Being unable to prevent such basic scams is truly outrageous

$50 million one-time evaporation... Based on my analysis, this guy's copy-paste speed might be a bit too fast. Copying and pasting such simple operations can actually become a major scam hotspot, and the plot twist is so unexpected that it catches people off guard. Honestly, those small junk transactions in the wallet are just bait, and there's no way to prevent it. The blacklist mechanism needs to be launched quickly. Right now, this ecosystem is like a magnifying glass revealing human nature. $7.7 million phishing case isn't enough to serve as a warning? I think we need to remind newcomers several times.

50 million lost in one go, how blind can you be People still fall for such basic tricks like copying addresses, haha but I get it Phishing is really out of control now, 7.7 million in just one month... our circle is too crazy Honestly, you have to be proactive yourself, don't expect your wallet to grow a brain for you I think the blacklist approach is reliable, but the prerequisite is that someone maintains it By the way, have you ever been caught in this kind of scam It's so hard to be an ordinary retail investor these days

50 million directly gone, how careless must one be... I still prefer to manually enter addresses, and I accept any gas fees, no matter how expensive.

50 million... how careless do you have to be... --- Copying an address can get you caught, this ecosystem is really too dangerous --- Honestly, I've seen this trick before, the key is to be more cautious --- A blacklist system sounds good, but I'm afraid it's just empty talk --- It would be great if wallets could be smarter, not just spammy transactions --- The number 50 million is a bit scary, who is so ruthless --- Can't even defend against low-level tricks like copying addresses, I'm really speechless --- Phishing 7.7 million... are scammers distributing bonuses this month? --- Every time they say to check the wallet, but who actually does it? --- That's why I now manually enter addresses, I'd rather be slow than risk an incident

50 million lost in one go, I need to check if I've also received this kind of junk transfer in my wallet... Copying addresses really requires more caution, brothers. The wallet needs to add an alert mechanism quickly, or else someone will suffer a total loss again. In November alone, phishing scams amounted to 7.7 million, this number is really upsetting. Every time before transferring, I have to open my eyes wide to confirm, I really can't be careless.

50 million USD? My goodness, that's why I never bother to verify addresses... Copying and pasting this action might really cost you your life, everyone. The blacklist issue needs to be pushed forward quickly, or the pit will get too deep. These phishing scammers are getting smarter and smarter; being cautious is never wrong. Why are so many people falling for these basic tricks?
