Recently came across an interesting L1 blockchain project—Dusk, which started in 2018 and focuses on building compliant and privacy-centric financial infrastructure. This positioning indeed places it at the intersection of the industry.
It adopts a modular design, targeting institutional-grade financial applications, compliant DeFi, and real-world asset tokenization—these are currently hot tracks. Notably, privacy and auditability are directly integrated into the architecture—this may seem contradictory, but it could be a genuine need for financial institutions. After all, the two main concerns for institutions entering the space are: ensuring controllable fund flows and protecting sensitive data from exposure.
It appears that the combination of privacy and compliance still has considerable imagination space in the financial blockchain sector. However, whether this veteran project can subsequently meet the true needs of institutional applications and launch market-winning products is the key. Has anyone interacted with Dusk’s ecosystem applications? What do you think about its future competitiveness?
