BlockBeats reported that on September 2, the Ethereum EIP-7702 protocol became a new target for hacker attacks, resulting in losses exceeding $5.3 million. According to an analysis by GoPlus Security Research Institute, attackers implemented theft through signature phishing, malicious upgrades, and privilege abuse. As one of the first platforms to follow the security threats of this protocol, GoPlus has received requests for assistance from multiple stolen users and has completed several in-depth security studies. To protect the funds of Web3 users, GoPlus announced that the trading simulation API now fully supports 7702 security detection, which can accurately intercept various malicious transactions based on EIP-7702. A security browser plugin will also soon launch related protection features. GoPlus advises users to: timely update their security knowledge and raise security awareness; use GoPlus security tools promptly to arm themselves and prevent losses.
