Founded by Harvard alumni, the startup Nomadic AI has completed a $8.4 million seed round, reaching a valuation of $50 million, to expand its platform. The platform converts raw video footage from autonomous vehicle fleets into structured, searchable datasets. Using visual language models, the tool can help companies like Zoox and Mitsubishi Electric efficiently identify extreme conditions and specific events for compliance and AI training, freeing them from manual review. The round was led by TQ Ventures, with participation from Pear VC and Google’s Jeff Dean.
