On May 3, police raided and rescued the father of a certain Crypto Assets entrepreneur, who had been held captive for several days and had his fingers cut off, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of $8 million. On June 4, Morocco arrested a mastermind behind a series of French Crypto Assets kidnappings, and on May 26, Paris arrested 12 related suspects. Experts analyze that the criminal organization may mistakenly believe that Crypto Assets are untraceable, and the lack of basic security awareness among some users has also contributed to such cases.
