Jin10 data reported on September 9, ConocoPhillips announced on September 8 local time that it has signed a long-term purchase and sale agreement with the U.S. energy company NextDecade to purchase 1 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from NextDecade's Rio Grande natural gas project located near Brownsville, Texas. According to the terms of the agreement, if NextDecade makes a final investment decision (FID) on the fifth production line, ConocoPhillips will purchase the LNG at an offshore price (FOB) over a period of 20 years.
