Gold 10 data on January 23rd, according to the Financial Times, Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) stated that while waiting for the clarity of Trump's policies, the Federal Reserve will maintain the interest rate unchanged in the 'foreseeable future', and may even raise it. PIMCO's Chief Investment Officer, Dan Ivascyn, said that he expects the Federal Reserve to keep the interest rate stable until 'data or policy becomes clearer'. 'In the long run, many of Trump's policies may have a very, very positive impact on the economy and productivity. Some policies may make sense in the long run, but will bring some pressure in the short term.' Ivascyn said that a Fed rate hike 'is certainly possible', although it is not his benchmark scenario. He pointed out that recent surveys have shown that consumer inflation expectations (usually a leading indicator) have risen. 'From the perspective of inflation, we have not yet gotten out of trouble.'

Amin
