As of October, the cumulative number of A-share individual investors has reached 365,849,085. Although the number of new accounts has been booming since October, it is understood that there is a big gap in the gains of securities firms. It is reported that this round of ‘account opening craze’ has a younger characteristic, with post-90s and post-00s representing new stock investors pursuing efficiency and valuing experience, and they are keen on opening accounts online. Ant Alipay and Tencent Licaitong have become the main traffic entrances in this account opening craze. It is understood that there are 5 securities firms cooperating with Alipay to open accounts, namely Guosen Securities, Guotou Securities, CITIC Construction Investment, Industrial Securities, and Caitong Securities; and 2 securities firms cooperating with Tencent Licaitong to open accounts, namely CMB Securities and Hualin Securities.
